We are now looking for a Port Operation Manger to our check-in team in Nynäshamn (Norvik), within the Stena Line Port and Terminal organisation. The team´s main focus is the check-in and activities related to that, both for freight and travel. The check-in team has a lot of experience and is a good mix of senior team members who have been with the organisation for many years, and younger members who are fitting in very well and are eager to learn from others.
What will you do?
Come and join us! As Port Operation Manager your role is to ensure a safe and efficient port operation, in accordance with Stena Line company standards and KPI’s, within budget and with minimum environmental impact. You will also play a vital role as a leader where you will support and motivate the check-in team to reach ambitious targets.
Some of your key responsibilities:
• Optimization and supervision of operational processes and logistics at the port
• Conduct incident investigations of all incidents involving significant disruption, damage or injury related to port and terminal operations.
• Coordinate proper handling of dangerous goods, trucks, passengers, cars etc.
• Responsible for control and documentation in terms of damages and claims, as well as damage prevention.
• Coordinate adherence to environmental regulations, safety and occupational safety (port area, Port SMS–System)
• Personnel responsibility for the check-in team
• Coordinate staff resource planning at port of Nynäshamn
• Budget planning and cost control of provided cost centers.
• Coordinate and maintain the relationship with Port Operators, Authorities, Owners and other Port stakeholder
• Support to ship management and onboard crew in terms of crew changes, ship supplies, purchases, various orders, certifications, MSW etc.
Who are you?

You are a natural leader, one who can support and motivate others and manage expectations, timelines and budgets. We believe you are communicative, with a lot of drive and an organized way of working. You are flexible, enjoy a fast pace environment and are not afraid of new conditions and challenges. With your solid experience and competence in the area, we believe you can support and lead the check-in team in Nynäshamn on our journey ahead.
The must-haves:
• University degree within Logistics/Business or equivalent
• A couple of years’ experience working with Port, vessels or similar logistics operations
• Experience working in maritime and/or logistics
• Managerial experience
• Completed training in IMDG
• Great IT-skills
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
